Rain over the weekend prompted the National Weather Service to issue a flood warning for the Petaluma River that began Saturday and lasted through Monday. 

Local law enforcement agencies warned that the Petaluma River would flood within 18 hours, at 8:35 p.m., on Saturday. This story was the top read of the week for Petaluma Patch.

Second on the most popular stories of the week is an article that appeared on Sunday, and also had to do with the weather. The rain caused downed trees, particularly in the Santa Rosa area, which affected power lines throughout Sonoma County.
