Who Should be Our Next Representative in Washington, DC? Take our Poll!

High unemployment, uncertainty over Social Security and overseas military presence that has lasted a decade. There are many crucial issues facing our country and voters will have to decide which candidate is best prepared to tackle them.

This last week, Petaluma hosted two debates among candidates vying for the 2nd Congressional District seat in 2012. From rising healthcare costs to the growing divide between the rich and poor, whoever our next representative is will have to tackle many of these issues.

Check out the video from this Wednesday's candidate forum (on the right), featuring William Courtney, a Mendocino County resident who calls himself the pot doctor. Another candidate we haven't heard from until now is Daniel Roberts, a Vietnam vet and investment company president who is running as a Republican.

When it comes to unemployment it’s been a tale of two recessions, with level of education playing an unprecedented role in whether you’ve been pink slipped or not. Getting a degree from "High Speed Universities" is the only solution
