What's the best band in Petaluma? If not a band, do you have a favorite local musician whose sound you love?

Tell us your favorite local musician in the comments section below, and we'll put them into a poll for everyone to vote on.

We'll accept nominations from Monday, June 18, to July 9. Then, on July 23, the voting begins through August 17. We will announce the winner in this category and the others on August 24. Visit our topic page for all the Readers' Choice information.

I think that showing The Hunger Games in this venue is a mistake. These outdoor family film showings…Read More do attract families, and frequently families with younger children. It would be close to child abuse to permit a younger child to watch this movie. Not so sure it would be a good idea for teens either. I believe that this choice was not well thought out. I hope it can be changed to something that would be beneficial for all ages to see. For example, I recommend a film called "Like Stars on Earth" directed by Aamir Khan. A very moving and thoughtful film.
