Where's the Best Burger in Town? This Week's Readers Choice Poll

While the coals warm up and the beer chills, take a few minutes to vote in this week's poll for the Best Burgers in Petaluma.

Last Thursday we asked on our Facebook page your recommendations for Best Burger in town. It seemed like an apropos question, what with descending on us over Memorial Day weekend. We received a good dozen responses, enough for us to take the question to everyone here on Petaluama Patch for this week's Readers Choice poll: Where do you go for the best burgers in town?

Yes, we're talking primarily about beef burgers, not veggie burgers or lambburgers or luma-burgers. (If you can Petaluma, why can't you grill one? Yeah, bad joke, sorry...) And we are also excluding chain fast-food establishments, insofar as their burgers are likely to be identical whether in Petaluma or Peoria. We're looking for the best local choice in our town.

In any case, remember that more than just the poll rankings are includied in the Readers' Choice. We want you to add a rating in the Patch Directory for your choice, and leave a comment this week (old comments don't count) to put your favorite burger joint over the top. Rules included with this article.

Here's the list of nominated restaurants, based on reader feedback, last year's article in Patch called and our own Directory.  Please, if you have any more to nominate, leave a comment on this article and we'll add it to the list. (Note: We've already removed one closed restaurant, and added another - last on this list!)

  1. Beyond the Glory - 1371 N. McDowell Blvd.
  2. 140 2nd St.
  3. - 5151 Montero Way
  4.  - 50 E. Washington St.
  5.  - 101 4th St.
  6.  - 125 Keller St.
  7. - 3413 Petaluma Blvd. N
  8.  - 23 Petaluma Blvd.
  9. - 205 Kentucky St.
  10. l - 219 Lakeville St.
  11. - D and Petaluma Blvd. S
  12.  - 3600 Petaluma Blvd. N
  13. BubbaQue's BBQ and Burger - 1105 Bodega Avenue
  14. Flamez Bar & Grill - 701 Sonoma Mountain Parkway

Readers also suggested two places not technically in Petaluma but perhaps worth the drive for a great burger, Superburger in Penngrove and in Cotati. But we'll keep our poll in Petaluma - at least as far as city limits.

So tell us with your votes, ratings and reviews - where's the best place for burgers in town?
