This spring the Petaluma Arts Association will Reprise its Open Studio Tour of Petaluma Artists’ studios.

Find out what's happening in Petalumawith free, real-time updates from Patch.

The tour will be on Saturday May 17th and Sunday May 18th from 10am to 5 pm at all locations.

The Open Studios tour is your chance to meet Petaluma artists as they open their studios to the public. This is a unique opportunity to see the creative and inspiring work of artists in the studios that they work in, and talk to them in an intimate and casual setting. The media these artists work in includes oils, acrylics, watercolor, photography, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, and sculpture.

The first Open Studios Tour was held in early May of 1996 with 22 artists participating at 12 sites within Petaluma city limits, and this year the tour will feature 23 Artists at 11 locations.

Artists participating this year are Richard Standard, Linda Donohue, Mari Stefonetti, Craig Wilcox, Maria Lewis, Sandra Anfang, Tom Potenza, Elaine Larson, Cecilia-Hallinan, Shawna Stoney, Jim Donohue, Eric Tobias, Vicki Folkerts-Coots, Karen West, Karen Spratt, Michele Rosett, United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay/OADS. Six of the original artists participating in the 1996 open studios tour will also be showing this year: Pat & Frank Marshall, Mary Bales, Camille Jordan, Pamela Borne, and Barbara Skelly.

A map listing the artists and the venues will be available at the Petaluma Visitors Center, Copperfield’s Books, The Art Store, and many other public offices and business locations in Petaluma. A complete map is also accessible on the Petaluma Arts Association web site - www.petalumaarts.org, and the PAA Facebook page at www.facebook.com/.

The Petaluma Arts Association has been a participant in the community for 57 years promoting appreciation of the arts. A portion of all the sales from the weekend tour will go to fund the Petaluma Arts Association ongoing Scholarship and Grant opportunities that support Petaluma schools’ student art programs. Past recipients of grants include Santa Rosa Junior College – Petaluma campus, Grant School, Valley Vista Elementary, Petaluma High School, La Tercera Elementary School and many others.
