Belva Davis at SRJC Petaluma Campus

On April 26, 2012, Santa Rosa Junior College’s Petaluma
Campus will host a lecture from Belva Davis at 12:30 pm inside the Carol E. Ellis  Auditorium. Her lecture will be about her life and career as a journalist. In 1966, Davis became the first female African-American television reporter on the west coast, working first at KPIX, San Francisco’s CBS affiliate, and later appearing on both KQED and KRON. She hosted the acclaimed series “This Week in Northern California” and has interviewed five U.S. presidents, among many other fascinating figures of the 20th century. She recently published a new book, Never in My Wildest Dreams: A Black Woman’s Life in Journalism. Be sure not to miss this absorbing lecture.

Admission to the event is free, but a $4 parking permit is required to park on campus.
