 Petaluma  See map

The interns of the Green String Institute invite you to prepare for Mother's Day at the Green String farm store on Saturday May 12, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.

The event will consist of a series of workshops, cooking lessons, children's activities, and fresh, local produce available for purchase. These workshops, taught by our enthusiastic interns, cover a variety of topics including natural process farming, the essentials of backyard chicken keeping, composting skills, and general home gardening techniques.  Starting at the top of each hour, workshops last 45 minutes each. Ongoing cooking lessons will inspire you to prepare a delicious Mother's Day breakfast using seasonal, fresh produce.  Children will be entertained with fun, farm-related activities such as collecting wildflower bouquets for their mothers.  A tool maintenance and repair seminar will also be offered, so bring all those broken shovels and hammers to get help and advice.

Come enjoy a beautiful spring day with us and learn how Green String Farm and you can take care of Mother Earth this Mother's Day weekend.  For more information on the event, visit www.greenstringfarm.com

ABOUT GREENSTRING FARM

Green String is a 140 acre sustainable farm in Petaluma, CA with 50-60 acres in cultivation. We maintain a farm store year-round that sells seasonal fruits, vegetables, olive oil, grass-fed beef, and preserves. The farm was founded in 2003 by natural process farmer Bob Cannard, and Fred Cline, owner of Cline Cellars and Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. Green String Farm is dedicated to promoting local, seasonal, and sustainable food produced through natural process farming. Our practices aim to build soil health, plant nutrition and biodiversity in harmony with nature, using full-spectrum minerals, compost teas, and cover crops.  Green String is a working farm, a natural process method, and an institute for education with year-round internships and learning opportunities to the community.

Just like they question the science of climate change, the right-wingers funding the Drakes BayRead More Oyster Farm's effort to break their deal with the National Park Service now are questioning the peer-reviewed science that led to the decision to end the marine slime and plastic pollution from the corporation's operation. And hate to break it to the author, but Cause of Action is a right-wing funded legal (tax exempt of course) group that takes on conservative causes, such as this effort to overturn the Obama Administration's correct decision to enforce the deal the Lunny's made.
