New Casa Grande HS Snack Bar to Debut Next Week

The project benefits the school's booster club.

Petaluma's Casa Grande High School is getting a new snack shack and clothing store, and it will make its public debut at the Sept. 27 football game.

The snack shack not only gives students business experience, but also helps raise money for the school's booster club.

“Our Booster Club is unique in that they give to all areas across our campus – funding requests from chemistry kits to LCD projectors, to gear for the Casa Anglers to lighting for the drama department to scholarships to landscaping to tennis equipment to helping pay for a teacher to attend an educational conference," a press release quoted Assistant Principal Stephen Owens as saying. "We are thrilled our Boosters can partner with our school to help us fill critical gaps in our funding and make our student experience better year after year.”

During the 2012-13 school year, the Casa Grande Booster Club donated nearly $70,000 to various school activities.
