Amer the Gamer is a nod to sports reporter Amy G. and is now being offered at Lucchesi Deli
Hey Giants fans.
Lucchesi Deli has a new sandwich, named after a local celebrity—Amy Gutierrez, a field reporter for Comcast SportsNet.
Gutierrez, better known as Amy G., will introduce the sandwich at an event at the deli this Saturday, sign autographs and share stories from the Giants World Series run in 2010 and 2012.

The sandwich, called Amer the Gamer, features roast beef, smoky cheddar cheese, creamy pesto, lettuce, pickles, onion, horse radish and is served on fresh baked baguette (Yes, it was created by Amy G. herself.) A portion of all sales from the sandwich will be donated to the Petaluma Educational Foundation, which awards grants to more than 35 local schools.
“It’s the sandwich that keeps giving,” said owner Paul Lucchesi, whose niece first approached him with the idea. “It’s exciting because Amy is a local girl and this is a chance to give to local schools.”
