Petaluma Educational Foundation Receives $4,000 Donation

As schools lose funding across the state, local nonprofit's mission becomes more crucial than ever

Every year, the raises thousands of dollars for local schools, funds that are used to purchase badly needed science equipment, computers, art supplies and other items teachers need.

Last year, the foundation gave out $189,000 in grants to Petaluma schools and is gearing up for the next school year. One of the first to donate is Jacobson & Breen Financial Group, which raised $4,000 for the foundation at their 2nd Annual Father's Day Golf Outing fund-raising event on June 17.

If you or your company would like to donate to the Petaluma Educational Foundation, contact Development Coordinator Maureen Highland at 707-778-4632. PEF will also hold its annual fundraising event, an evening of dinner, dancing and auctions, Sept. 10.
