Habit Burger To Open In Petaluma; 3 'Sneak-Peek' Benefit Fundraisers Planned

Habit Burger Grill is opening at the new Deer Creek Plaza at 447 N. McDowell Blvd. in Petaluma on June 25 -- with three sneak-peek fundraisers planned for area nonprofits.

The chain is based in Southern California and this newest location brings the number of Habit restaurants to 94.

For folks in Petaluma who want an early sampling of the menu, there will be three fundraisers on June 22 and 24 when The Habit will donate 100 percent of all proceeds to three chosen causes.

  • On Sunday, June 22, The Habit will open for lunch (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties; 
  • Dinner that evening (5 p.m. to 7 p.m.)  will aid Casa Grande High School.  
  • For Tuesday lunch, June 24 (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), Petaluma Education Foundation will be the beneficiary. 
The restaurant will open for business officially on Wednesday, June 25 at 10:30 a.m.

The Habit Burger Grill in Petaluma is a 2,400 square-foot new building with additional patio seating, and will create approximately 35 new jobs, according to company officials.

·        Burgers are always 100 percent fresh ground beef, not frozen

·        Lettuce, tomatoes and onions are cut fresh daily

·        Albacore is flown in fresh from Fiji three times a week and hand-filleted

·        Fresh chicken breasts are hand-filleted and marinated in-house

·        Salads are fresh, made to order

·        House-made ranch dressing is prepared fresh daily in the restaurants

·        Every Habit offers a complimentary condiment bar featuring an assortment of peppers, lemons, limes and a range of sauces for guests to spice it up
