LIVE BLOG: 2012 Little League World Series, Petaluma National vs. Texas

Petaluma is set to play Texas in its third-straight elimination game tonight at 5 p.m. on ESPN2.

6:57 p.m. - Thanks for watching on the live blog tonight folks! We'll be signing off now. We'll have a game story up soon!

6:41 p.m. - Petaluma advances to the U.S. Championship game in dominant fashion with an 11-1 victory over Texas.

6:39 p.m. - Two runners on for Petaluma, one out. One more run finishes game (10-run rule).

6:38 p.m. - Flyball for O'Hannlon scores Bradley Smith (pinch ran). 10-1 Petaluma.

6:37 p.m. - Smith scores on a wild pitch. 9-1

6:36 p.m. - Gago singles, scores Paretti, Smith to third, Gago to second. 8-1, Petaluma.

6:32 p.m. - White and Paretti single. Two on, one out.

6:30 p.m. - Petaluma is three outs away from advancing to the U.S. Championship game, up 7-1 heading to the bottom of the 5th.

6:28 p.m. - That's 12 Ks for Marzo.

6:23 p.m. - Petaluma leads 7-1 after four innings. 

6:21 p.m. - Porter Slate reaches base on an infield single. One on, one out.

6:17 p.m. - Marzo just recorded his 10th strikeout of the game, 4th inning, two outs.

6:12 p.m. - Dylan Moore strikes out to end the inning. End of three, Petaluma up 7-1.

6:08 p.m. - Hance Smith is on FIRE. Hits his second home run of the game, Petaluma up 7-1.

6:01 p.m. - Petaluma set to bat in the bottom of the third up 6-1.

6:00 p.m. - Marzo gives up a solo home run to Jordan Cardenas, 6-1 Petaluma.

5:55 p.m. - Six strikeouts for Danny Marzo so far.

5:51 p.m. - Bradley Smith strikes out to end the inning. End of two, 6-0 Petaluma.

5:50 p.m. - Marzo advances on a wild pitch.  At second now.

5:49 p.m. - Marzo singles, one on, two out. Almost gets picked off.

5:44 p.m. - Marzo allows a hit but no more, Petaluma coming to bat in the second up 6-0.

5:34 p.m. - Petaluma just scored six runs on TWO hits.

5:33 p.m. - Cole Tomei grounds into a double play. After one inning, Petaluma up 6-0.

5:33 p.m. - Petaluma goes back to back...Quinton Gago crushes a shot to left-center. 6-0 Petaluma.

5:30 p.m. - Pitching change for Texas right now.

5:28 p.m. - Hance Smith hits a grand slam. Petaluma up 5-0.

5:26 p.m. - Kempton Brandis strikes out but the pitch gets away, he looks like he'll be safe at first. Bases loaded, one out.

5:25 p.m. - Slate scores on a wild pitch, 1-0 Petaluma, runners into scoring position.

5:23 p.m. - Bradley Smith gets ahead in count 3-0, takes a walk. Base loaded, one out.

5:22 p.m. - Marzo flys out, Bradley Smith to bat. Two on, one out.

5:21 p.m. - Logan Douglas draws a walk. Back to back walks have two Petaluma runners on, no outs.

5:18 p.m. - Porter Slate draws a walk. One out, no outs.

5:14 p.m. - Marzo retires the side in order, records two strikeouts. Petaluma coming to bat.

5:10 p.m. - Danny Marzo is starting for Petaluma.

5:08 p.m. - Petaluma is the home team again and will get the last at-bat in today's game.

4:55 p.m. - Ok folks set to go live here in a few minutes.

Petaluma National Little League will be on the brink for the third-straight time in the elimination bracket of the 2012 Little League World Series as it will face Texas tonight on ESPN2 and ESPN3.com at 5 p.m. Pacific.

And hate to break it to the author, but Cause of Action is a right-wing funded legal (tax exempt of course) group that takes on conservative causes, such as this effort to overturn the Obama Administration's correct decision to enforce the deal the Lunny's made.
