Get Ready for Sonoma County Backroads Challenge

Cycle through beautiful Sonoma County, then feast with other riders all while raising money for local organizations

Calling all cycling enthusiasts!

Petaluma Sunrise Foundation has opened registration for the Third Annual Backroads Challenge, scheduled for Saturday, May 18.

Riders can choose from three routes: 35, 70 or 100 miles, with all money raised from the event donated to local projects.

These include building an outdoor learning center at Casa Grande High School, facility improvements for Sonoma Marin Boys & Girls Club, grants to teachers for classroom supplies, youth leadership training, science fair and awards for vocational students, and an annual Easter egg hunt for kids.

Cyclists of all levels are welcome and are invited to a post-ride party including BBQ, beer or wine and entertainment until 6pm. $65 to $85 depending on course.

Attendance will be capped at 1,750 people, so make sure you register early. For more information, visit www.backroadchallenge.com
