Petaluma United Real Soccer Team Scores Two Victories Over Weekend

Games kick off league season

Petaluma United Real, the Under-13 boys team from Petaluma United Soccer Club, launched league season with two wins over the weekend defeating WESCO, 5-2 on Saturday and Ukiah Pumas on Sunday 5-4.

After an exhaustive summer tournament schedule that started with the Petaluma boys winning the Seawolf Cup in July, and then playing additional tournaments in Roseville, Pacifica and Napa; they were ready for league play.

The Petaluma United Real offensive was lead by Nicholas Dooley, Juan Zanabriga-Santos, Benny Spaletta, Jack Reynolds, and Brandon Martinez. The mid-field was powered by Brandon Keefer, Eric Riley, Nico Caraballal, and Tino Siragusa; and the defensive side of the field was anchored by Andrew Ashley in goal, supported by Joseph Chavez, Matthew Rosa, Adam Griffin, Bobbie Merwin, Sumeet Dulai, and Duilio Magalhaes-Froes.

The team was coached by Andrew Riley and Brian Keefer, with head coach Tom Siragusa unavailable due to previous commitments. The Petaluma United Real’s up-and-coming striker, Fernando Vaca, has been sidelined with a broken-hand, and the team looks forward to his return in a couple weeks.

Petaluma United Real is part of the Petaluma Youth Soccer Organization.
