Steve Cozza to Host Grand Fondo for Kids

Ride will raise money for local schools and children who are ill or economically disadvantaged

Petaluma resident and former cycling champ Steve Cozza is organizing a Grand Fondo for kids, with all proceeds donated to children fighting life-threatening illnesses.

The bike race will take place on Saturday, May 11 at Lucchesi Park and give children three different routes they can bike, walk, run or rollerblade around. (Parents and pets are welcome.)

To enter The Bici Sport Petaluma Kids Gran Fondo, participants need to gather as many pledges as they can and bring them to the event.  Money raised will be donated to the Petaluma schools, as well as children with disabilities or life-threatening illness.

Cozza grew up in Petaluma and spent six years cycling professionally before retiring in 2012 for health reasons.
