Rebuilding Together Seeking Volunteers

Grab your family and friends and join the work crews in cleaning up local parks or helping local disabled veterans with urgent home repairs

Have you been thinking about getting more involved in the community? Here’s your chance.

Rebuilding Together Petaluma is holding a workday on Saturday, October 15 and needs more volunteers to help spruce up several local parks, which have been impacted by reduced budgets and fewer maintenance staff.

There will be six outdoor park projects to repair and paint benches, fences and pergolas, mulch trees, and remove invasive weeds from the wetlands. This work is fun and is very suitable for all ages. Children are welcome! The parks are:

  • Alman Marsh (next to Shollenberger)
  • Wickersham Park,
  • Del Oro park
  • La Tercera Park
  • Miwok Park 
  • Walnut Park

Another project includes helping two disabled Petaluma veterans perform urgent repairs on their homes. This project is NOT suitable for children.

Even if you registered in the past, you need to reregister for this event. When you register, be sure to say with whom you want to work and where.
