3 Can't-Miss Events This Weekend: Kids' Book Reading, Harvest Dinner, Tom Petty Tribute

A look at the weekend's events in and around Petaluma.

There's a lot to hear and taste this weekend in Petaluma. Here are a few events scheduled for the next few days:

1. Storytime and signing for kids' Halloween ABC book - 10:30 a.m. Saturday

Santa Cruz resident and former newspaper reporter and editor Jenni Kaye will read from her Halloween kids book "All Hallow's ABC" 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Little Luma, 21 Western Ave. Read more about the book here.

2. Winemakers Harvest Dinner - 6:30 p.m. Saturday

Sonoma winery Gloria Ferrer will host a harvest dinner Saturday featuring wine and food pairings, live music, a demonstration of sabering, and the chance to try wine from a Spanish porrón. Tickets are $150 or $127.50 for wine club members.

3. Tom Petty tribute band - 8:30 p.m. Saturday

The real Tom Petty will turn 63 this weekend, and Petaluma residents can celebrate Saturday at the Mystic Theatre with a performance by Petty Theft, a tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Zoo Station, a U2 tribute band. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m. at the Mystic Theatre, 23 Petaluma Blvd North. More information is available here.
