Attorney Hunt is lucky that his client wasn't charge with burglary but that what it seems like heRead More committed! This "peeking" charge is a bunch of BS; if he were some regular Joe, he'd most likely be charged with a felony.
Anna Gomez April 23, 2014 at 09:56 am
Efren Carrillo is an alcoholic pig and is on way too many commitees with far too much power. ThisRead More was not his first offense - he beat a man unconscious outside of a bar in San Diego in 2012. I do not understand why he still has a job. He needs to go!
Melinda Moreaux April 23, 2014 at 11:02 am
IMHO "Peeking" is not a good word for what he's accused of.

I'm sorry, but why is the woman called "Jane Doe?" Why is she not identified. She is notRead More only the alleged victim of what is not a sex crime (and she is not a minor), but she is also the complainant to the point of being the arrester (she, after all, she wanted to make a citizen's arrest; and California is a citizen's arrest state). There is no justifiable reason why she is not identified; and shame on the media for not getting a higher-court judge to order the lower court judge to release the woman's name. Not releasing it is a failure to properly report the news. I'm sorry for the woman's discomfort, but that's not how we do things in the US. When someone sticks his/her toe into the court system, it's PUBLIC INFORMATION. Shame, again, on the media for just lying down and taking that particular of the Court's rulings.

I agree completely on this point. No one has explained why her name is being withheld.

the tale it generates revenue..actually it does not..
Darris April 23, 2014 at 09:24 am
You could generate the same amount of revenue in 10 minutes with two officers stationed at EnglishRead More and Webster Street nailing all of the people who don't stop at the 4-way stop . . .

I was hunched over in the road (in a bright coral hoodie) picking up a pound of nails and tacks thatRead More were dumped in the road when a neighbor in a white Pontiac SUV punched the gas and made an aggressive swerve past me. This was witnessed by my husband and three other neighbors (who were shocked at his stunt). The guy lives around the corner from us . . . what is he thinking?! I was picking up nails and roofing tacks, some #16's, so that drivers didn't puncture their tires! People need to slow down and take a breath. Our street is in a quiet neighborhood, on a hill, 25 mph, around the corner from Bodega Bay Elementary school. People (including parents taking their kids to school) drive like maniacs up the 3 block hill to what? Get home, get their kid to school? I've been slammed into by a car at 19 years-old (the woman was on prescription meds) and spent a month in the hospital and came out scarred with a leg 2" shorter from a compound fracture. Let me tell you first hand . . . it's not worth all the pain and suffering you may cause someone or yourself or your kids, SLOW DOWN . . . please . . .

"unspent .32 caliber bullet"?? The bullet is the part of a cartridge that goes down rangeRead More when fired. I suspect we are talking about an "unspent .32 caliber cartridge" or "unspent .32 caliber round of ammunition".

The underground California economy is alive and well.

The victim was obviously killed with an unregistered hammer. If the weapon had been registered, theRead More crime never would have happened. California hasn't gone far enough. We need to register all hammers, baseball bats and rolled up newspapers.
