The Assembly has the largest population per representative ratio of any state legislature lower house. Members of the Assembly are restricted by term limits, confining them to three two-year terms. The Assembly convenes at the California State Capitol in Sacramento.</p> <p>The man representing Petaluma in Sacramento is Democratic Assemblyman Jared Huffman whose sponsored legislation includes tougher laws to combat DUIs, ground water safety and renewable energy incentives for large businesses. </p> <p>Assemblymember Huffman's staff can help constituents contact local, state, and federal agencies, assist with grant applications and provide consumer protection information.
