Carole Bennett, Neighbor

Retired from teaching at Santa Rosa Junior College, I am active with the Soroptimist International of Novato, whose mission is to help improve the lives of women and girls. 

Soroptimist members produce "Sounding Board," a weekly television program on NPAT (Novato Public Access Television) as well as many other activities in our community.

I volunteer with the Buck Institute folks to put together the annual North Bay Area Science Festival to get kids excited about careers in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).  The first event was held at Infineon Raceway on November 5, 2011, with over 4,000 visitors.  The second event will be on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Sonoma County Fair Grounds.
