Raising three lively sons in Petaluma's public schools, sports and arts communities has provided a fantastic insight into the life and times of our city from a family perspective.

Working as a regional, independent journalist has opened doors to all sorts of fascinating folk. Sonoma County's rolling fields of green and gold and its community-minded people called me to one of the best places to live in the world.

A proud Petaluman for nearly two decades, I was born and raised in a small town in rural Cambridgeshire, England. Although I'm still waiting for my suitcase to arrive, my roots run deep in the region.
